Booking a place in history
In this year of Canberra’s Centenary it is a nice to immerse ourselves in a little bit of history. The Communication Link has been working on several projects along the theme of Canberra’s Centenary.
Perhaps most excitedly was the recent launch by Prof Brian Schmidt of the Engineers Australia Centenary Book – A Century of Canberra Engineering.
This is a wonderful book telling the stories of the people, policies and projects that have helped to build our city. Copies are available from Canberra Division of Engineers Australia on 62706519.
We are onto another Centenary publication – The Master Builders that Built Canberra. This book will be launched at the National MBA Conference being held in Canberra in November. Give us a call if you would like to learn more about this special book. Or visit the MBA website.
Short-term solutions help work-life balance
Are you in need of extra communications or project resources? The Communication Link team love short-term projects and find it a great way to maintain our passion for work-life balance. There is nothing better than getting immersed in a great project and seeing it to fruition before school holidays! If you need some extra resources in the office or externally; from compiling the annual reports, managing an event, hosting a work shop or writing a comms plan – we would be happy to help. It is not just good for our work-life balance – might also help yours!
The Communication Link is proud to welcome young Lachlan to our extended family. Congratulations Ellen, Russell and Alex! While Ellen is on leave at the moment to spend time with her young family, it won’t be long before Lachlan is introduced to the family friendly environment at The Communication Link, he is already a veteran of the meet n greet staff meeting!
The Communication Link is pleased to have our membership of the Defence Material Organisation Support Services Panel renewed. Congratulations to Brett for his great work on the bid! We are looking forward to more exciting defence projects in the coming years.
