Hands Across Canberra

Project outline

Hands Across Canberra provides a unique collaborative approach to fundraising for community organisations, delivering a range of support services to the people of Canberra. The Communication Link has proudly provided key stakeholder engagement and event management services to the Hands Across Canberra Foundation lunch since it was first held in 2010.

Over the past six years, guest speakers at this unique fundraising event have included Dick Smith, AC,  Harold Mitchell and Mr Charles Curran, AC.

Funds have been used to contribute to a range of important local initiatives that help the most disadvantaged in our community.  These include Karinya House for Mothers and Babies Inc, Menslink, Marymead and Karralika Programs Inc.

The Communication Link is very proud to be able to support this important charity each year.

Client feedback

Thank you for your obvious commitment in supporting our great charity by making the annual event work so professionally. Hands Across Canberra was created to encourage Canberrans to be generous at home, and we have raised over $400,000 since 2010.  To have you with us for our entire journey and the level of support we generate in part reflects the public commitment you make.  Helen, we value greatly your support.

Chair, Hands Across Canberra
