Established a community panel to provide insights and perspectives to Canberra Health Services on integrated care and delivering health care services closer to where people live.
The ACT Government acknowledged the need for a long-term plan across all facets of care to meet Canberra's growing population and demand for health services and facilities.
Communication Link helped to establish the Integrated Care Community Panel and designed a program of workshops that built understanding, supported enquiry, and facilitated participants to develop a suite of eight consumer principles to guide the design and delivery of future health care services for the ACT.
The Integrated Care Community Panel worked over a series of four online workshop, taking advantage on online collaboration tools. We managed logistics, subject matter content, facilitation, and participation in each workshop, including an important close the loop session at the conclusion of the project.
The engagement workshop series was carefully designed to allow Canberra Health Services test various service delivery proposals against the established consumer principles. This final phase was an important part of ensuring that the consumer principles were meaningful and clearly understood by Canberra Health Services. They will now continue to play an important role in the design and delivery of health services in the ACT.
