Change Communicate Engage Train
Supported the delivery of flexible workplace pilots at Service Australia sites across Australia
Various public and private sector organisations in Australia have adopted flexible approaches to work and activity-based working.
Through the Workplace of the Future Pilot, Services Australia explored how flexible approaches may apply to the agency's unique operating and customer-focused model. Services Australia has more than 450 million interactions with the community each year.
The pilot tested four flexible workplace models across seven national sites and different business functions. The aim was to determine what may work for the agency and its various business areas.
Communication Link delivered change and communication services through all pilot stages. As part of the roll-out, we held workshops with staff to understand their biggest concerns about the change, developed toolkits to support leaders, and delivered educational content to support Services Australia transition.
During the pilot, we responded to delays in office fit-out and furniture by activating spaces, leadership workshops, newsletters, posters and educational material to inform on the changes ahead.
After the pilot period, we conducted a thorough quantitative and qualitative data analysis to determine what the pilot found and the lessons learnt. These will help inform future property and workforce strategies.
